Facilities

DIET Mandya Main Building was constructed in the year 1995. it has about 35000 square feet area. There are 25 rooms available. It has Principal chamber, staff rooms, Video conferencing room, Library, Seminar Hall, Computer Labs, Urinals for both men and Women, with enough furnitures.

There are two computer Labs available in the DIET. Each computer lab is having around 50 computers. Also have projectors, podium and Laptops. Computer lab is provided with high speed internet facility. It is having CCTV surveillance. The lap is equipped with UPS for 24 hours power supply. 

DIET Mandya is equipped with Video Conferencing facility. The state officials can have video conference with the DIET Staff to get information about DIET progress.

Our Library is well equipped with suitable furniture. The library is having more than 5000 books. 

There are separate quatras for principal and staff. 24 hours water facility is available in the building.  

There are two separate hostel building in the DIET. around 100 people can accommodate in the hostel. hostel is having 24 hours water facility and with hot water facility. There is separate kitchen for Hostel. 

DIET History

DIET, a novel scheme to strengthen in-service education at primary level, has been suggested by NPE, 1986. One of its main thrusts is to improve and enrich the academic equipment of elementary school teachers, non-formal and adult education functionaries and other personnel down the lowest, but important level of our Educational system. It organizes different kinds of INSET programmes with the help of various branches and in co-ordination with various agencies at state and national levels.

DIET Mandya has been established in the year 1994, Since Then diet Mandya has trained more than 25000 teachers (pre-serice) and 100000 teachers (In-service). To achieve this target Our department has provided us lot of facilities and also encouragement.
